Inwards vs. Outwards

This was an invitation card celebrating the first collaboration between Michelle Ma and Nicole Fabry. They were keen to explore the idea of what their cultures and original roots meant to them after being away from home for decades.

 

The circles on the invite reflect the idea of being inside and outside of their homes and cultures. While the two circles represent their partnership, connecting them together in curating this exhibition. The flow of paint in the background not only depicts the medium of their artworks, but also the flow of life which brings them to where they are today.
